According to me, you can prefer Arihant over GK publication. There are lots of reasons for that but the worst thing that I see in the Gk book is that it contains lots of errors that is why it is not recommendable at all and on the other hand if I see the content of Arihant it is far better than gk publication. Arihant's book is much more organized and covered all the chapters in an orderly form, the concepts are in a precise form. So, I would suggest you go for Arihant's ece gate book.

But you shouldn't take the solutions of the question to be true always because in many cases, there are a lot of errors.
