Greetings!
Your sleeping schedule depends mainly on two things, that are how much you were used to sleep before starting preparation and second is timing of your coaching and school.
See if you were used of sleeping 9 hours earlier, it would be foolish to ask you to reduce it suddenly to 6, that would never yield better results. Ideally a person should sleep 6-8 hours, and that applies to JEE aspirants too. You MUST sleep 6-8 hours, don't sleep very less or too much, it will only deteriorate your performance.
It looks cool to say yeh, I sleep 4 hours and study 10, but I am telling you with my personal experience, that doesn't yields any results whatsoever, specially in long run. So avoid sleeping less than 6 hours, and if you sleep more than 8, than slowly and studiedly bring it down to 8, then to 7, if you were used to sleep more than 8, 7 should be your mark, if you were used to sleep less than 6, 6.5 should be.
Now at what time you should sleep depends on at what time you have school and coaching, but one advice, don't try to sleep in breaks, like 4 hours at night and 2 in afternoon, that is generally not very good for your preparation. Try having a straight 6-8 hours of sleep. Being a morning or a night person is the matter of personal choice, and none makes any difference, if you feel you can be a morning person and vice-versa, but a continues 6-8 hours of sleep is must for any JEE aspirant.

Hello Aspirant
The brain also needs proper rest in the form of sleep and students should get an ample amount of sleep to study productively. It's important to be healthy as well. Hence, 6-7 hours of sleep is a must.
However, my suggestion is to wake up early in the morning like at 5:30-6:00 A.M. Also, Don't be sleep deprived otherwise your mind will not stay active.
Thanks
