What needs to be understood is AIIMS and JIPMER exams have been scrapped in favour of NEET and not the other way round. There are many Institutions like AFMC, CMC and other Central Universities which conduct their own admissions through All India Counselling. The same will happen with AIIMS and JIPMER. The DGHS on behalf of the NMC will conduct the counselling for these Institutions. In fact there will be another 1700 seats made available from these 2 Institutions and whenever the availability of seats is more, the cut offs decrease. And the difficulty of the exam is always dependant on the level of your preparation.
