Dear aspirant ,

Its strictly not recommended, because  sometimes we misunderstand things, like if we sleep less then we can study more and we get more time to revise. But there is big flaw in the thought, because scientifically  minimum of 6-7 hours sleep is must for the body. The side affects are..

  1. Insomnia causes due to lack of sleep.
  2. lack of concentration and focus
  3. Drowsy feeling through out the day
  4. It affects mental peace and can further lead to depression.
  5. Affects physical health  ..

So instead of reducing sleep and increasing hours of study  you can increase focus and concentration to reduce the hours. And have a sound sleep. Because we are not machines our body needs some rest and time to memorise the things and manage them accordingly.

Inculcate meditation and exercise in your routine and have healthy diet. These things can only help you in a long run and its a journey of two to three years so don't follow  such instructions. Because  you can only follow the routine of sleeping 3 HR for only a week, then you will start feeling lazy and tired. And then you will create a backlog and it will demand more time. so focus on right things and hope you get the point.

All the best for the journey ahead!!

Hello aspirant!
Hope you are doing well.

No it is completely depends on you. If you are good in grasping things fast then, studying for 4-5 hours daily consistently is enough for you. But if you are a slow learner you should study 12 hours a day.

But 6 hours sleep is a must if you are preparing for any competitive exam, because it not only keeps you emergetic but also helps you in learning things faster.

So you should make your time table accordingly.
