what if an NRI/OCI got better rank in Un Reserved category also can they choose to apply in UR Category?

NRI (Non-Resident Indian)/OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) candidates are also eligible to apply for JIPMER MBBS exam. They can apply for JIPMER by going through six-step registration and application process below:
Step 1 : Go to the official website of JIPMER and navigate to the link ‘Apply online MBBS admission’.
Step 2 : Register by filling details like name, date of birth, mobile number, email-id, choice of exam centres, etc., and click on the ‘Register’ button.
Step 3 : Login, using the user-id and password sent to the registered mobile number and email-id entered at the time of registration. Once logged in, candidates can also edit any information by clicking on the ‘edit’ button mentioned on top right corner of the screen.
Step 4 : Upload the photograph and signature.
Step 5 : Pay the requisite application fees.
Step 6 : Save the confirmation page and take a printout of it for future reference.
It will be mandatory that NRI/OCI candidates be registered under section 7A of Citizenship Act of 1955 to become eligible to apply for JIPMER entrance. In case NRI/ OCI candidates wish to apply for seats reserved under the self-financing category, then they must mark this option while filling the application form, otherwise they will be considered for admission under general or unreserved category only.
