Hello Poorvi,

Not qualifying for JEE advanced does not mean that you cannot be an engineer. Based on your JEE mains score you will definitely get a chance to pursue Engineering from colleges other than the IITs.

As far as NDA is concerned, the entry is restricted strictly for male candiates alone and female candiates are not eligible to appear for the NDA and NA written examination. However in the future after you complete your graduation if you still wish to join the Indian Armed Forces, you can appear for the Combined Defence services Examination (CDSE) or the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) provided you have no active backlogs while you appear for either of the above.

So if you wish to join the forces, I suggest you complete your engineering from a college which you might get admitted to based on your JEE mains score and then appear for the above mentioned examinations or if you wish to pursue engineering from IIT only, then i would recommend that you take a gap, prepare well, plan your studies in a day to day manner and execute everything efficiently so that you clear JEE mains next time.

Hope this helps you.

Thank you!

Hi Poorvi, if you are not selected in jee-mains then don't worry about that.if you do NDA then you have only one thing to do government which is good for you if you are interested in this field.so then go to this link :
https://nda.testbag.com/exam-analysis.php?tp=4

if you interested in the engineering field, then you have many options like government + private jobs.because companies, as well as the army, come for placements in the private colleges.

so here is the list of private institutions in India :

# it only depends on you and your interest.

good luck

Hi Poorvi! It is not necessary that if you have not qualified JEE Mains you would not get a good government college. I know people who have not scored very well but still managed to get into good government colleges. I would suggest you to fill the counseling of some Government universities like Panjab University, Kurukshetra University. You may get a seat alloted till the final round of counseling, but do not go for a private college. Good Luck!
