As I m now in first year bcom and what to apply for LLB can I?
Hello Mansi!
The Eligibility depends upon whether you want to go for 3 year LLB that is after graduation or 5 year LLB that can be pursued after 12th.
Also one thing to be noted is that till last year there was no age limit for any of the above after various High Courts removed age limit in CLAT and 3 year LLB. But now BCI has again revived the Age Limit so one can not do the same if he is more than 20 years of age for 5 years LLB and if more than 30 years for 3 years LLB (Both limits are for the General Category Candidates, for reserved categories the age relaxation is from 2 years to upto 5 years).
Since you are in 1st yr so you can apply for LLB after your graduation.
Good luck:)
Dear Mansi, LLB is now both a 3 year and an integrated 5 years course. For 3 years LLB course, the eligibility criteria is that you should have a graduation degree with a minimum aggregate of 45%. Though there is no upper age limit, the minimum age should be atleast 17 years old. Now, though you are studying your B.Com 1st year, as you haven't compleyed the course yet, your highest qualification will remain 10+2 and hence unfortunately you cannot appear for 3 year LLB Program but can still apply for 5 year Integrated Law programmes.
5 year Integrated LLB is a Law Programme after your 12th. The common entrance examinations for this course are CLAT, AILET, LSAT-India, SET, CUSAT, CET of GSS, Bharti Vidhya Peeth, Christ University, AMU, Punjab University, Jamia Milia, APLAWCET and CEE-Kerala. The eligibility criteria is that you should have passed 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 50%. Its 45% for Reserved Categories.
