To answer your question in the very beginning, YES you can get admission in SASTRA University in your desired field of B.Tech Mechatronics. However there are a few things that are noteworthy and demand your attention.
To give you an introduction, The Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology & Research Academy, also known as SASTRA, is a private and deemed-to-be university in the town of Thirumalaisamudram, Thanjavur district, Tamil Nadu, India. Among the several courses in B.tech offered by SASTRA, Mechatronics is a wonderful one. Divided into 8 semesters, the courses is of 4 years duration. The fees is within the range of 6 lakhs. Also note that the admission processes have not yet begun!
Coming to the most important part, i.e. Eligibility criteria:

- The aggregate marks for each subject chosen must be above 60%.

- Students with diploma in engineering can get admission directly in 2 nd year B.tech provided age limit is 21 years old.
The admission guidelines are as follows:
- The admission process for B.tech is done under two streams. The seats allotted for the streams are in the ratio of 7:3 i.e. 70% and30% respectively. For the 1 st stream, admission is based on the class 12 th marks (75% weightage) and the JEE Mains score (25% weightage). The 2 nd stream will have only 12 th marks considered i.e. 100% weightage.
- For stream 1, the combined scored of boards and JEE will make up the final merit list. For 2 nd stream, only the board’s marks will make up the final merit list.
- Following the submission of application form (which you can find on the official website of the college) there would be counselling sessions for each stream respectively beyond which the seats will be allotted.
