As per the 2021 KCET 80-85 marks rank prediction said between 4500-5000 but actual rank is 16500 why so much difference?

Hello student,

Since last year the marks of 2nd PUC was given weightage   of around 50% but this year it wasnt given any weightage and moreover the number of students attendinh kcet was increased by around 30% hence the competition was fierce thus the difference in ranks .

Sorry but it was known the 12th standard marks will not be considered this year as the exam never happened. Does it mean the students have done exceptionally well and prediction went totally wrong? Because 5000 vs 16000 is not 30% as you said students who appeared increased by 30%?
