There are three rounds in wbjee for which will conducted for sure. After that many seats of different quotas except the management quota and of government and private colleges that remain vacant are alloted to the students on the basis of GMR only in the mop up round. If still in some Colleges the seats remain vacant then they can arrange decentralized counselling. So rounds are three and one special round called mop up round then again one round you can say as decentralized counselling.

The number of rounds is subject to seat fulfillment in the institutes. If the seats get filled, the further rounds are bound to be suspended. So, it depends on the management conducting the counseling.

The number of rounds for counselling depends from college to college, few colleges can go upto 10 rounds but few get filled in just the first few rounds. Search the college you are looking for and check the previous year cutoff lists so that you can understand how fast that particular college fills up.All the best!
