Hello Aspirant,

Hope you are doing well.

Online exams are becoming more popular, with many universities, institutions, and competitive testing bodies opting to move away from the traditional pen and paper test format in recent years. This kind of test is done entirely on the computer, with no physical question paper provided at all. Online examinations are tests that consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), in which students must choose the correct answer from among four possible choices and record their selection on a virtual answer sheet.

Benefits of Online Examinations

  • In terms of setup, it is feasible.
  • There is almost no possibility of cheating.
  • Live CCTV footage and webcam monitoring were used to oversee the event.
  • It takes less time to verify the answer sheet and produce the final result when using this method.
  • Efficacious in terms of cost
  • There is no possibility of a question paper leak.

Benefits of Offline Examinations

  • An offline test required a significant amount of administrative and operational setup.
  • The preparation of question papers and answer sheets is time-consuming and expensive.
  • Possibilities of cheating or the use of unfair methods
  • It takes a significant amount of time to verify the answer copy and prepare the results.
  • Possibilities of a question paper leak

Now your teacher suggests you to appear for online exams because of probabale reasons:

  • YOu might be facing internet issues at home
  • Incase while uploading the answer sheets, your internet fails, you will be solely responsible
  • You can use unfair means at home which ultimately will impact your understanding and memorizing power

With these concerns, I would suggest you to opt for offline mode of exams as they will prepare you further for more competitive exams in future. Hope you got the answer to your question. Incase of any queries, feel free to question. Have a great day!
