assumptions necessary for the derivation of boltzmann distribution ?

The assumption of this equation are that particles do not interact and they are classical,that means each particles state are considered to be independent from the other particles state and moreover the particles are assumed to be in thermal equilibrium.
The Maxwell Boltzmann equation which forms the basis of kinetic theory of gases,defines the distribution speed for gas for certain temperature.
