Hi dear,
You can start earning after completing 5.5 years of Mbbs.During the period of internship they are given stipend.Mbbs graduates are appointment as Junior resident or Medical officer.
If you wish to pursue specialisation after Mbbs even then as a senior resident in any post graduate program you are paid stipend which can take care of your expenses. So basically you are earning while studying during post graduation.
Hope this helps

Hello,
It takes between 11 and 14 years of higher education to become a physician. That means a doctor doesn't earn a full-time salary until 10 years. You have to complete a compulsory rotatory internship for another year after MBBS.You will receive your MBBS degree only when you complete your internship. During the internship, you are liable for monthly stipend. After you have the MBBS degree and you are registered with the Indian Medical Council, or any State Medical Council, you can practise as a Medical Officer or a Junior Resident in any government or private set up. Some states also put up the students for a compulsory rural posting after MBBS. You will be paid monthly stipend for the same.
Its a long journey but in the end its all worth it.
Good Luck
