Here is the general step to calculate attendance percentage:

  • First count the total number of days in total (for example, the total number of days in a semester).
  • Next, count the total number of days you were present.
  • To calculate the total percentage, you have to divide the number of days you have attended the class with the total number of classes multiplied by 100.


The formula for calculating attendance can be:

(Y/X) x 100

where,

Y = Total number of days you were present

X = Total number of classes

Let the total number of days of attendance be x. And the number of days a student is present be y. Then the percentage of attendance is equal to ((y/x)*100).
