Hello,
Have you competed your first year?
If not, then why are you so worried about an year back.
I want to tell you that,if a student is unable to score a minimum of 40 marks(out of 100) in three or four subjects repeatedly, then he/she might get an year back.
But is he/she is unable to score 40 marks in any one subject, then that will be called a subject back.To remove it the student will have to appear in that particular exam more than once in the upcoming semesters.
It's not related to particular branch.
Whether the student is from CSE/IT/ME..etc if he/she fails to score a minimum of 40 marks in 3 or 4 subjects, then an year back will be awarded to that child.
So,stop thinking about back in first year.
Focus!
Thank You!
Best Wishes!
If any queries, feel free to ask.
Regards!
