Bachelor of Vocational (B.Voc) in Software Development is a three-year full-time under-graduate Degree course offered various institutes. This programme concentrates on theoretical knowledge as well as practical training of the subject. The course aims at skilling candidates with the skills of Computer Science and Software Development.
Eligibility criteria for the course states that students who have passed Class 12th in Science stream from a recognized board are eligible to apply for admission to the B Voc Software Development course.
Students are admitted on the basis of entrance examinations like IPU CET and CUCET in almost all top institutes of engineering in the country. After qualifying the entrance exams, there is around round of counseling being held by the institute.
BCA is a three year undergraduate programme in the field of computer science and information technology. The programme makes students competent and technically skilled to showcase their technical expertise and work in the IT industry. Students from both science and non-science backgrounds can take admission in the BCA programme.
During the course, students are made to study topics such as fundamentals of computer, programming languages, database management, networking, web designing, operating systems, etc. There are a lot of job options for BCA graduates who can find jobs in both the private and public sector. Entrance Examinations include AIMA UGAT, IPU CET, SUAT, GSAT, SRMHCAT, KIITEE BCA.
Eligibility criteria for the course :-
Candidates who wish to take admission in Bachelor of Computer Applications programme must have completed 10+2 in any stream from any recognized board.
The minimum age limit of the candidate should be 17 years.
The BCA eligibility may vary depending upon various colleges and universities. It depends on your interest in the field.

With reference to your query, I would glad inform you that B.vocational software developement is better option bca (if you are not planning to do mca) because b.voc you will get a lots of industry exposure and opportunities of internships , inshort you will get experience of IT environment a lot whereas bca theory part is more and for job you have to persue mca .
