I am working in the IT industry as an senior software engineer with 6.5 yrs of expel but without a college degree and recently completed one in regular ..is this valid and can I switch jobs within degree?

Yes of course you can do your graduation and your full time IT job at the same time and even then your degree will be valid . You can enroll yourself in IGNOU.
It is a distance learning national university and is the largest university in the world. And the main benefit you will be getting is that you don't need to go for regular classes there and thus you can easily do your it job but yes you will have to do self study.
