Hello aspirant!
BAMS and BHMS are both traditional way of treating diseases and lately are gaining acceptance in modern world. Compared to MBBS, the demand for BAMS and BHMS is very less. However, if you want to pursue one among BAMS and BHMS, consider the following points and decide:
BAMS:
Bachelors in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery is a 5 and half years duration course(including training period). The course deals with curing diseases using plants extracts and compositions and formulating a different style of routine. The course offers specializations like padartha vigyan, shareer rachana, rasa shastra, swastha vritta etc. The career scope after BAMS course include job profiles such as Ayurveda therapist, sales executive in ayurvedic companies, health consultants in govt or private firms, medical representative, ayurvedic doctor, lecturer, in research centres etc. They can be hired by private hospitals, research institues, phramaceutical companies, healthcare and lifescience centres, educational institutes etc. The initial average salary of a BAMS graduate can range from 20,000 to 40,000 INR per month depending upon the job.
BHMS:
Bachelors in Homeopathy Medicnie and surgery is also a 5 and half years duration. The course centres around homeopathic system of medicinal treatment. The job opportunities include homeopathic doctor, public health consultants, teaching profession, pharmacist etc. The course offers specializations such as homeopathic pharmacy, homeopathic paediatrics etc. The average initial salary can range from 20,000 to 40,000 per month.
Coming to your question, BAMS seem to have slightly better opportunities than BHMS. However, it depends on your interest.
If you want to become Gynac, then you must do MBBS course. BAMS or BHMS course does not offer any specialization such as gynocology.
For furthur studies both have good opportunities. You can do MD in ayurveda or MD in Homeopathy accordingly.
So decide depending on your interest. You must also remember that not all ayurvedic or homeopathic doctors are successfully. On average, MBBS doctors have much better scope and salary than ayurvedic or homeopathic doctors.
