If we look from career point of view, then it's BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery) which is better as compared to BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery) because of the following reasons, as stated below -

  • BAMS has more vacancies in Government sector as compared to BHMS
  • BAMS will fetch you comparatively more salary as compared to BHMS
  • Indian Government has recently put more emphasis on Ayurvedic Science and has proudly said that "WHO is about to set up centre for traditional medicine in India" (Source - The Hindu Newspaper Date - November 13, 2020)
  • Rise in popularity of Ayurvedic medicines not only in India but also in foreign countries
  • Rise in popularity and sales of companies like Patanjali has opened up more job opportunities for Ayurvedic Doctors

However, it also depends on the individual's interest what he/she wants to do in future. If someone is really interested in Homeopathic Science, then he/she may consider pursuing BHMS Course.

Now from treatment point of view, both are equally good, though Ayurveda has more of scientific backing (while Homeopathy is sometimes considered as pseudoscience).
