Hi

NO, you can’t apply to a NIT using your JEE Advance rank. NITs strictly will accept your JEE Mains rank which is a combination of your JEE Main marks and your Board Examination percentage. Any result apart from this is not accepted by the NITs.

You can however take admission in the following colleges on the basis of your JEE Advance Rank.

  • All the IITs (duh, obviously :p)
  • ISM - Dhanabad
  • IISc, Bangalore
  • IIPE, Visakapatnam
  • All the IISERs
  • IIST, Thiruvananthapuram
  • RGIPT, Rae Bareli

Hope this answer helps.

Good Luck!!!!

Thank-You!!!!!

Hi

Yes based on your JEE advanced ranks and marks you can easily get admission at NIT but for that you have to appear for  JEE Mains and then qualify cutoff so as to sit for JEE Advanced.
