Sadar Lingayats interchanged as Sadhu Lingayats , are a Lingayat population of our country.
It comes under the Backward Classes category under other classes or Group - D.
BC category is split up into sectors groups like A, B, C, D, and E.
- Group A contains Aboriginal Tribes, Vimuktha Jathis, Nomadic, and Semi- Nomadic Tribes , etc.
- Group B contains Vocational Groups.
- Group C contains Harijan Converts. SC converts to Christianity and their descendants.
- Group E contains Socially and Educationally Backward categories of Muslims.
This caste is not included in the Central OBC category.
