Hello student ,
Ofcourse , it is a good career option , if you can put your 100 % as dental treatments are expensive. It's expensive throughout the world and for a reason . If you have right communication skills and the right equipment and the right clinical knowledge, a dentist can easily make 1–2 laks/month . After BDS, you're eligible to join government hospitals and centers as a Medical Officer. This option is very popular among BDS graduates because it has permanent job security, along with a good pay scale.Beside this you can also go for Management (MBA), Administration (UPSC IAS or state PSC) . So in future if you will feel Dentistry isn't something that interests you as a lifetime commitment, you can always switch your field.
Hope it will help you !
