Hello there,
There are a lot of engineering branches like Computer science, ECE, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Biotech, Food technology, biomedical etc. Each branch has its own career and scope. And let me tell you that, no branch is bad. But as seeing todays technology and advancement, the CSE branch has major career opportunities as compared to other branches. And let me tell you that, CSE students got more job offers as well as great salary packages. So, CSE would be a better choice. But also, other branches have good scope, but it also depend son ones interest of work. So choose branch as per your interest.

what about civil engineering

Civil branch has numerous jobs in govt sector. But if you want such a job with great package then civil is not for you. Civil branch is good but the package you will get in this is less as compared to all other branches of engineering
