Amity is a good university.

The campus of 600+ acres - That’s really not an interest to a student. What’ll she/he be doing of such a vast area. You’ll only be having a particular block for your academics.

  • Eight hostels for boys and Six for girls - You’re gonna need a place to stay so hopefully there’s more than enough space to accommodate you. That’s a plus point.

  • Security measures for girls - If you’re a girl and decide to reside in a hostel. Then you’ll have to mark your attendance daily in the hostel to the floor warden and be in the hostel within the entry timings. 6:00-6:30 is winter's timing and in summers up to 07:30 probably. So if you don’t enter into hostel till that time. You are gonna have to face the warden for an explanation and maybe a call to your parents. That’s a bit harsh. While girls may not like this but I’m sure their parents would surely do. But if you wanna live freely. There are plenty of PGs near the University. Now decide what’s best for you. But you’ll be super safe inside the hostels than in PG’s that’s for sure. You can go to the library from 08:00 PM to 12:00 AM. But will be accompanied by a guard from your hostel to the library.

  • More than 200 courses are offered to range from Diploma to PG - You are probably going to find the best course for you among these. That’s for sure. Another plus point.

  • Placement - Yes. Students do get placed from the university and a lot of drives are conducted from various companies. No doubt most of the drives are CSE/IT-based. Companies with decent packages come in. You’ll have to compete with everyone to grab the opportunity but it’ll be worth it.

  • Tons of events - May it be Cultural, Sports, or Academic. There are numerous events held on the University campus itself. If you like to dance/sing/act then you’ll have numerous cultural events, You get a handful of opportunities if you are a sports guy. Let it be football, cricket, basketball anything. You’ll get many-many tournaments in every case. If you’re a computer geek, you like coding and all that technological stuff. You are gonna have a great ride.

As  I have experienced it till now, LPU commits to be one of the best universities and it actually is. Whether it is in field of placements, infrastructures, facilities etc. LPU has proven itself better than any other universities in whole north India.

First of all, I would like to tell you that LPU has the highest placement records compared to other universities or colleges in the whole North India, where companies that recruit from IIT, NIT also recruits from LPU. From Google to Microsoft LPU students are working with top notch companies at a package of 1 crore. Around 450+ companies visit every year for campus-placement of students at LPU, where more than 90% are MNCs.  Over the last 3 years, Cognizant alone has recruited 1900+ students from LPU campus. India’s top talent company “Aspiring Minds” has ranked LPU as having the Most Employable Students consecutively twice in a row.

LPU has collaborated with Google, SAP, Oracle, Lupin, Microsoft, Cisco and more to have their Centres of Excellence in the university and offer their training modules as part of the curriculum. Besides, live projects are a very big impetus that LPU provides to its students. For this, the students are encouraged to innovate, experiment and work in their fields. Projects like building solar-powered cars, aerodynamic human-powered vehicle, a mobile application for women safety, racing custom made go-karts and working on village development projects in collaboration with the government of Punjab are just a few to name.

The icing on the cake is the driverless bus,  another example of LPU students being at the forefront of technology. Some other interesting projects done by LPU students include Flying Farmer, a wireless sensor device, exclusively used in farming and field survey, Formula one car and Go-karts.

State of the art Infrastructure

LPU’s infrastructure is unparalleled to any of the universities in India. It is a mini township. It has fantastic academic facilities, a six-storied library & research block, hostel & accommodation facilities for over 24,000 students; a shopping mall; numerous eateries including brands like Domino’s & Café Coffee Day; plenty of workshop area, India’s first iMac Lab and various other facilities for students to grow and accomplish their goals.

Excellent security system and Residential Facility.

LPU campus can safely be regarded as one of the most secured university campuses in India. There are 4000+ CCTV cameras, footages of which are monitored persistently. There is  varied hostel facility for students and one can choose from having an individual room to sharing a room/apartment with friends from different states/countries. The politically neutral atmosphere of the university flatter growth and development of the students without any obstruction. It is a drug-free institution with strict regulations to keep a constant check on it. The administration of the university strictly prohibits ragging and no case of such  indiscipline is tolerated by the university.

Collaboration with International Universities

LPU has nearly 200 collaborations with foreign universities. Students from the university can go for exchange programs to the international universities for both short term and long term courses. University holds joint conferences through these tie-ups as well. University has Academic International Partnerships with McGill, Northern Illinois University, Mizzou - University of Missouri, California State University, The University of Iowa, and many more.

Hi good morning baby but I can't tell Amity

Good

None 3rd Oct, 2017

Assuming you are asking for degree programs so if you talk about LPU then you can consider it a good option because it has got AAA+ rating according to Careers360 whereas Careers360 has given AAAA to Amity which shows this is a very good college to pursue degree courses. Also, if you compare both of them then as per ratings Amity is bit better than LPU. But I would suggest you to consider your interest and convenience before choosing any college as both are the good ones.
