For placement purpose computer science and engineering is best over civil engineering but in India placement opportunities are more for computer science student there are many MNCs where you can get job easily if you have done your course and you have enough knowledge, there are less opportunities for civil engineering students in India but in other countries like Dubai these opportunities are more, the comparison is based on the placement opportunity but both are best in their own ways I would suggest you to go with your own choice see in yourself where you want to go and work hard, opportunities will come itself if your determination to succeed is strong enough.

Both the corses are good.

The choice should be based upon your interest as both are entirely different fields.

Computer science is based upon topics that relates to computation, like analysis of algorithms, programming languages, program design, software, and computer hardware whereas Civil engineering is the professional practice of designing and developing infrastructure projects.

Job prospects is really good for both computer science and civil engineering. When it comes tto college placements I feel CSE has an advantage there, but still this also varies from college to college.

SO the choice should be made upon your interest
