best recommended private colleges in USA for medicine
Hi, I'm a doctor in the US so I'm mpst suited to answer this question.
Almost impossible to get into US without being a legal resident or a citizen and without MCAT and a bachelors degree in US cos their admission is not straightforward.
You can opt for Carribean medical schools like AUA etc which take up many many international medical stuents. Carribean islands are not a part of US and since there are not many jobs there, many people go to the states after their MBBS to do their MD(residency). Also, stduents who do MBBS in Carribean go for the clinical rotations in the US for some subjects, at extra cost of course- these are called electives.
The cost of MBBS falls around $50,000-$80,000 per year, includes hostel. Its almost the best. Not only international students, but US students who don't get admission in their country go to the Carribean because its easier, less expensive and they can always come back to the US and practice. US MBBS seats are so limited that even those with decent MCAT scores don't get in,so give up that option. You may get into a US medical school directly if you have high level of contacts and are a citizen/greencard holder with most of your education there. Moreover, you have to do some pre med bachelors degree too.
