Hello Aspirant,
Let us discuss about both fields in detail :-
Biotechnology
After B.Tech, you can find jobs in pharmaceutical companies, research labs, and institutions in India. However, you may go abroad to pursue your masters or doctorate studies in Biotechnology and allied fields. You can also shift to MBA and enter the world of business, finance, and banking. Also, you can shift to software through on-campus placements. Talking about on-campus placements, the number of job openings are very decent in Biotechnology nowadays, the number of companies coming for placements are also increasing. Although, core companies only hire students from universities such as IITs, NITs etc. to be frank and precise, if your university is not reputed nationally or state wise, than you have to work hard to get placed.
Biomedical
Here also, you can go for higher studies in India or in abroad. But here you will get more exposure to top companies like :-
And you have the options to go to the research labs like (I'm talking about inside India only)
According to me there is brighter scope in Biotechnology as compare to Biomedical field but ultimate decision comes to your interest.
I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck!!
