Hi Biri Mama!
The answer to your question depends on what point of view you have asked the question. I mean like standard-wise or qualifying mark wise or rate of qualifying students?
- If it is standard-wise: I'd say that BITSAT is tougher as JEE Mains question paper is prepared keeping in mind of the students all over the nation whereas, the BITSAT question paper is prepared in such a way that the best students can be segregated.
- If it is qualifying mark wise: I'd say that JEE Mains is better as JEE Mains has a new cut-off mark every year depending on the difficulty of the paper whereas, BITSAT has a new cut-off mark every year depending on the range of marks of the students.
- If it is rate of qualifying students: I'd say that JEE Mains gives more no. of qualifiyng students than BITSAT exam. More than 2 lakh students qualify JEE Mains whereas, few thousands of students are eligible for admission in BITS.
In my personal view, I like one thing about the BITSAT exam. It is that they give a clear cutoff mark irrespective of the reservations unike JEE Mains, being a nation-wide government conducted exam, give different cutoff marks for different categories of students.
Hope I answered your question to your satisfaction.
