There is pure concept that the boiling point of the solution has to be less than the boiling point of individual liquids or more than that of individual liquids.
All depends on the nature of liquids interacting within the medium, and the inter molecular forces of attraction between these liquids which determine the heat required or the boiling point of that particular solution.
