Hi,
BAMS is better than BPT. BPT are actually not doctors, but some kind of helpers for Orthopedic doctors. BAMS are doctors, having background in Ayurveda (alternative ancient Indian medicine).
Both are different fields, BAMS deals with ayurvedic medicine so after this you can get a job in government hospitals, private ayurvedic medicine companies, spa and can also run your own clinic. whereas after doing physiotherapy you can get a job in private and government hospitals. . In the recent times Physiotherapy has been advancing and has received an increased demand in both scope and job prospects. Considering the advancements, Both courses have equal scope and the earning depends on you, how good you are in your field.
Candidates who fulfil the above eligibility criteria have to appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) (https://www.shiksha.com/medicine-health-sciences/neet-exam) and qualify for it. Admission to the BAMS course is through centralised counselling based on the NEET merit list.
Students who have completed their 10 +2 education with science as their major subject are eligible to apply for Bachelor of Physiotherapy course. The candidate should have pursued the Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as their main subjects. A Minimum aggregate score of 50% or equivalent at 10+2 level is mandatory for admission. Some universities in India conduct an entrance test for admitting students for the BPT course. Some of these entrance examinations are CET, JIPMER all India entrance test, Guru Govind Indraprastha University Physiotherapy entrance exam, etc.
