Hello,
BSc Biochemistry is a 3-year undergraduate course in chemical and physio-chemical processes. It is a branch of science that deals with chemistry applied to the study of living organisms and the atoms and molecules which comprise living organisms.
Whereas biotechnology is technology that utilizes biological systems, living organisms or parts of this to develop or create different products. Which can be developed rapidly because of the new possibility to make changes in the organisms' genetic material (DNA).
Biochemistry is a pure science field, while biotechnology is an applied science field.
Biochemistry deals with the process and pathways happening inside the living cell, while biotechnology deals with the techniques to study those processes, and applications of those processes.
Currently biotechnology has more scope than the latter course.
hope this helps!!
