B.Sc Biotechnology is a UG course, which has a duration of 3 years and involves studies regarding cells and molecular processes. IT has a wide range of field and technologies under it. So, basically more the number of field a subject covers, more will be the scope.
So, talking specifically about Biotechnology, the scope is great. It is preferred in a lot of fields such as Medicine, Pharmaceutical, Agriculture. Even Medical colleges ask for Biotechnology professionals. The food industries, chemical industry and some specific other industries do have a demand for biotechnology professionals. As one can see, a lot of industries are available where biotechnology is required and the opportunities are endless.
After Bachelors, if you opt to go for higher education like the Masters and PhD, then you can also go for both private or government organisation jobs and the opportunity will be endless and you will have a variety of options to select from, may it be medicine, pharma, hospital, chemical and energy industries.
Speaking about Biotechnology, there are two varieties of it. One is B.Sc Biotechnology where Mathematics is not a compulsory subject and the other one is B.tech Biotechnology, where Mathematics is compulsory. The latter one is comparatively better off and slightly few more chances than the previous one.
