Hello aspirant
Talking in terms of professional degree btech in biotechnology will be considered as better degree. After b tech degree students can find jobs in pharmaceutical companies, research institutions in India. Students can go to abroad to pursue master's degree or doctorate degrees in biotechnology and allied fields. If students want to enter business , finance and banking world .then they go for MBA. Many can shift to software through on campus placements. Since number of job openings is less very less in biotechnology, the number of companies coming for placements will also be less. Core competencies hire students from universities such as IIT s, NITs etc. If your University is not reputed nationally it state wise then chances of getting hired from top pharmaceutical companies will be less. As the biotechnology field is highly research oriented , the students must do their graduation in biomedical Sciences, Bioprocess engineering etc.
On other hand BSC biotechnology students are recommended to pursue msc. The job opportunities for BSC biotechnology students is limited as biotechnology field is highly research oriented. Universities like JNU, DU , IISC ,TIFR offer excellent msc programs. After msc most students can tend to work in research labs and industries as research assistant. If msc is pursued from reputed University, chances of getting hired from good company increase. One can go for pH D after msc . Oh D degree opens up many avenues both in India as well as abroad. If you opt pH D degree , then you can start your own research lab, become a professor
