Hello Aspirant,
The answer to this primarily depends on your interests and skills. You should first go through the syllabus of both these courses and find out which interests you. Scope wise , you really cannot compare, computer science will take you to a technical field and chemistry is a pure science field . Along with the subject content in both courses , you should search about various job roles and careers you can have in both areas. For example , if your interest is towards research and teaching then take chemistry one the other hand if you are more interested in getting into an IT job or become a web/game developer , then take up computer science.
Job prospects are good in both. Moreover , getting a good job or shaping up a god career out of the particular subject area depends on the individual's capabilities ,knowledge and hard work. To some extent the college you study in also matters in terms of providing quality education and placements, so even that comes into the picture.
After B.Sc in Computer science top choices for higher studies are:
M.Sc (Master of Science )
MCA (Master of Computer Application)
MBA (Master of Business Administration)
Data Science
Machine Learning
Apart form this there are many other options , computer science has a wide area of application which you can explore based on your interest, knowledge and skills.
After B.Sc in Chemistry the following are some common choices :
Master of Science in Chemistry
Master of Science in Physical & Materials Chemistry
Master of Science in Analytical Chemistry
Master of Science in Drug Chemistry
Master of Science in Organic Pharmaceutical Chemistry
Post Graduate Diploma in Analytical Chemistry (PGDAC)
MBA
Pharmaceutical courses
Again there are many options other than this which you can explore according to your interests. Research and teaching are the most common choices.
So if you want a wise scope , then you can go with computer science , but you should have good coding skills , analytical skills, math skills to go further in the field. B.Sc in Comp Sc. alone will not have much scope.
Another point to note is , try for B.Sc Hons in computer science or chemistry rather than B.Sc general. Honours degree is valued more than general and the subject syllabus will be standard and in depth in hons.
