Both are the good options. You can choose as per your interest & capability.
Ophthalmologists differ from optometrists and opticians in their levels of training and in what they can diagnose and treat. As a medical doctor who has completed college and at least eight years of additional medical training, an ophthalmologist is licensed to practice medicine and surgery.

Optometry is the independent primary health care professionals for the eye. Optometrists examine, diagnose, treat, and manage diseases, injuries, and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures as well as identify related systemic conditions affecting the eye. The duration of these courses is 4 years.

As per your interest you can go for B.Sc Ophthalmologist. It is a specialized branch of medicine which has ample of career prospects. The job opportunities for the graduates are in private and government hospitals, health departments, health centres, and NGOs.

Good Luck!
