B.S. Abdur Rahman University was previously functioning under Madras University and Anna University as B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Engineering College. Admissions are taken through Crescent Institute Engineering Admission Test (CIEAT) conducted by the University and candidates can also apply if they have valid JEE mains rank.
