Hi.
Since you already know the statistics for both the colleges, your question seems to have come at a cross road regarding the logical choice. So, clear few things first:
- A college or a university is more than just fees input vs package output. It is totally possible that you bag the highest package available or conversely, you do not get placed at all. Decide your college based on its reputation, campus and hostel environment from Peer Reviews which you can read at these pages:
https://www.careers360.com/university/kalinga-institute-of-industrial-technology-bhubaneswar
https://www.careers360.com/colleges/sambalpur-university-institute-of-information-technology-burla
- Average and Median Salary are two different things. Let’s say packages offered were 4,5,6,15 LPA to random students. Now, the average of this would be 30/4 = 7.25 LPA but the median package would be 5.5 LPA which means maximum of students have got around 5.5 LPA.
Now, if you have a further specific question regarding the choice, feel free to comment.
Good Luck
