Both of the fields are very good fields. They both have a lot employability and offers some of the most lucrative packages.
BTech CSE or BTech IT both are 4 year UG course. Now CSE focuses on the hard ware and software as well. It also deals with the data management, data organization, computer architecture etc. IT focuses on the data management, web development etc and it have very less applicability in hardware. Also CSE have a broad spectrum of subject to study but comparatively the IT didn't have that much of a vastness. So if you go for CSE then you will have knowledge of a larger area of the field but if you go for IT then you will get the applied potions more.
Although both the courses are very alike and both the engineers of each of the courses works hand in hand. But if you ask I would personally recommend you to go for the subject which makes you interest. There are not much of difference but CSE can be more helpful if you wish to have more options available in your future.
