Since you have mentioned that your passion is to do Mechanical Engineering in the comments, if you really think that it is the field in which you are honestly interested and can see yourself making a bright future, you can consider the prospects of a drop, and get a better rank in the Btech category. If not, then you can consider colleges which won't be as good as those you could potenitally get. So, I would like you to reconsider your options here. If not, then you have got a decent rank in B Arch and you can indeed look for good prospects here.

As you have got very good rank in b.arch. so it is better to take this course of study in in which your rank and Institute match for you
B.arch andBTech in civil engineering both related to planning and construction of building. B.architecture develops the design of out face and inner face of a building in perfection of arts and design. BTech in civil also do the planning and construction of a building but not design in perfection.
Job opportunities in both sphere is good.
The average salary is available for the both post vary from 3 lacs to 5 lacs per annum.
So everything depends upon your choice on your achieving of aim.
