Yes of course you will get government jobs in electrical department also.

Electrical Engineers are much in demand in India. In the recent years, from house to companies every where there is a necessity of electricity to function, offering numerous opportunities to electrical engineers.



These engineers can work in atomic power plants, hydel or thermal power plants. Job opportunities are ample in both private and public sector like railways, civil aviation, electricity board and utility companies, electrical design and consultancy firms and all types of manufacturing industries.

You can also appear for PSUs like AIRPORT Authority of INDIA whereElectrical & Electronics Students are allowed along with ECE studentsfor post of Junior Executive(Electronics). That means if you are only BE/Btech in Electrical Engineering You are not Eligible to Fill the Form unless you are BE/Btech in ECE,EEE.

Electrical engineering has good scope if done from top NITs and IIT.



Placements is very important factor as for core brnaches, placements are average.



However scope is amazing with top organisation like GE, Vodafone, Larsen Toubro, BhEL, Tata Power, Reliance.



Top roles offered into Chip manufacturing, Emwbeded design, quality control, system management, project management.

Yes there is scope in electrical engineering. There is plenty of scope in government sector as well as in private sector.It is a core branch and also a evergreen branch of engineering.

Talking about Government sector jobs, the prime recruiters are- BHEL, Indian Railways, Indian Armed Forces, ONGC, Thermal Power Plants, Power Stations, State wise Electricity Boards, PWD Department etc. In the above mentioned Government organizations and departments, one may find job posts of-
