Hello Ravi,
In the present scenario of B-Schools, it is quite prominent to see most of the students which are presently studying have completed Btech. But there are a lot of pros and cons for both the fields. I won't say if one is better than another but would tell you the pros and cons of both the situation.
If you opt for Btech for your graduation this will develop your quantitative skills very strongly which will be beneficial to you when you will give the entrance exams for MBA like CAT, GMAT, XAT, IIFT, MAT etc. where having a good aptitude skill developed by you for four years would definitely come in handy. The Cons of doing Btech is the competition becomes very tough for students who want to do MBA because almost every Btech students scores good and not the single B Schools wants a lot of Btech students but eventually they end up taking more because of the lack of choices they have for quality students. Other Con is that Companies generally prefer non engineers because non engineers are the ones they don't get easily therefore any non engineer are easily placed during placement seasons of B School. After Btech you will learn many skills which will come in handy while you will be doing your MBA but the subjects you will be reading during your BBA will be like what MBA students read just more varieties and more depth. THe Con for BBA is that you really need to work hard for the entrance exams of MBA because aptitude of BBA students are not generally as strong as Btech students. But most important thing if you are looking forward in doing BBA is that you will be getting extra benefits for being a non-engineer. The cut-off in the percentile that the colleges look for are generally kept low for non engineers so that they can get as many non engineers as possible. If you are not from very good Btech college in your undergrad that also backfires and generally Btech students are expected to score at least above 80s in their undergraduate but in the case of BBA 70s would also suffice that too from any college.
Now I have told you all the good and bad, you are free to decide what you look for in your future.
Hey,
At the end of the day once you graduate from MBA your previous degree will not have much value. However just on the basis of an undergraduate degree it is tough to compare considering both the degrees are in different fields . It depends on the quality of the candidate , your skill set and ability. Remember that your first degree will only matter until you get your first job following which your performance and abilities speak for themselves.

Hey
your undergraduate degree doesn’t matter much for getting higher salary after mba. All it depends is upon the college you are in. Top colleges provide better salary than other colleges. Your undergraduate course might effect your selection for the college of mba. For eg in CAT exam in many colleges students with non- engineering background are given preference. Choose accordingly.
