Hello Ashok,

For admissions in NITs, you have to give JEE Mains Entrance Exam conducted by NTA. Admissions in NIT is based on your score in JEE. The marks in 12th board exam is required above 75% for General Category and 65% for any Reserved Categary (SC/ST/BC). This is the minimum requirement to appear in JEE exam.

For admission in good NIT you need to score above 200 out of 360 marks.

For other informations you may check our official website.

Thank you.

Hello

A general candidate needs to score 75% marks or be in top 20 percentile of a particular board. Top 20 percentile means you have to score more than 80% students of your board.

However, board exam results no more decide the merit list for admission to IITs and NITs. Above criteria need to be satisfied for admission but they won't be affecting anyone' rank.

For OBC-NCL same criteria is there, for SC/ST one needs to score 65% marks for qualifying.

Hope it helps.
