CA foundation syllabus and passing rules
Anupama, there are 4 papers for CA Foundation. They are:
Paper 1:Principles and Practise of Accounting
Paper 2:Business Laws and Business Correspondence
Paper 3: Business Mathematics, Logical Reasoning and Statistics
Paper 4:Business Economics and Business Commercial Knowledge

In order to pass the first level of CA exams which is the foundation level, the candidate must:-
- Score at least 40% marks in each individual subject
- Score at least 50% total aggregate marks in all subjects

Paper 1 and 2 will not have any negative marking. 0.25 marks will be deducted fro wrong response in Paper 3 and 4.
Paper 1 and 2- Subjective. You'll get three hours for this.
Paper 3 and 4- Objective. You'll get two hours for this.
Each paper contains 100 marks that means total marks 400 marks.
Passing criteria-
You will be declared passed if you obtain at one sitting a minimum of 40%marksin each paper but at the same time you need a minimum of average of aggregate marks of 50% in all the paper.
