Hey, Sheetal!
Thank you for this common question. I am sure it will help many students who have this question in their mind at various points of time before thinking of giving their CLAT exam, during their 12th grade and even after being unhappy with the law college they finally get.
I gave the CLAT about 2 years ago and the experience was quite interesting, to say the least. What I learnt and a lot of people who have given it will tell you, is that what matters is the the quality of studies over quantity. People study for 2 years and spread it out, and end up in top NLUs or lower ones. They also do crash courses, or practice enough past papers and read up on GK worth 2 years plus static GK in a month, and get into top NLUs. It depends on how well you study. So if you give it all you have in one month, plan what all you have to study, how much time you have, how many days you want to give for revision, how many papers you need to do, how many days you want to take as an off or break, you will crack CLAT. It might be easy if you customise your plan according to your strengths and skill sets. Prioritise the various sections of the exam. If your strengths are Legal and English, practice those every day. Usually, for Maths, depending on how good or bad you are at it, it is advised to prioritise what you can solve easily and quickly. Limit what you study in Math and are a sure shot if you do not want to prioritise it. Studying static GK well is good and solving past papers helps, as some questions are a recurrent trend. Apart from that, relevant GK blogs are easy to find on the internet. Logical section is all about practice so keep practicing every day with continuity. Work on your strengths, embrace your weaknessness and limit the capacity of your weaknessess in the paper by attempting questions you are sure of answering correctly and confidently.
