Dear Sohini, the basic eligibility criteria for Diploma is 10th standard. It is a course that students opt for Technical courses instead of 10+2. So there is no lateral entry option in Diploma. After you complete your diploma, if you want to pursue B.Tech, you can appear for the relevant entrance examination and directly join 2nd year of B.Tech. That is called Lateral Entry. But there is no Lateral Entry to Diploma.
