Greetings Abhishek!
Hope you're doing great.
National Defence Academy(NDA) entrance examination is a national level exam conducted by UPSC twice a year(NDAI, NDAII). It's a two-tier examination: Written test followed by an interview with the Service Selection Board(SSB). Once recommended, candidates are admitted into the academy. NDA is a premium joint institute academy for Indian Air Force, Indian Navy and Indian Army. The undergraduate degree is honoured to the candidate once they pass out from the academy to pursue further polishing to their respective command centres(IMA, AFA, NA). It's good to know you're looking forward to pursuing a career in the Armed Forces. Congratulations on that!
Now, coming back to the question 'YES' you can appear for National Defence Academy entrance examination irrespective of any stream right after completing your 12th standard examination. But it's advised to take maths and physics subject during your 12th class if you're planning to enter into Indian Air Force and Naval Academy. To become a pilot in Indian Air Force the candidate must have physics and maths as a compulsory subject during 12th standard. Similarly, the Naval Academy had certain eligibility criteria to get admitted to the academy after finishing NDA. However, the Indian Army has no such restrictions and candidate from any stream can opt IMA without any subject restrictions. To make things clear here is the eligibility criteria for NDA,
Eligibility Criteria: According to official records, candidates must be between 16.5 and 19.5 years of age. Candidates having appeared or appearing in class 12 (10+2) examination are eligible to appear for NDA 2019. Male candidates who are unmarried can apply for the exam.
Hope, things must be clear now. However, if you like biology you can pursue MBBS and then apply through AFMC examination. The choice is up to you. Do reach out in case you need more details on AFMC eligiblity criteria.
All the best! Cheers!
