Can a currently 2 year Bsc Home science student appear for GATE exam 2023 for food technology ?
Nope! For the GATE examination the 3 year or 4 years BSc Students are eligible to sit for the examination. Essentially after the BSc, GATE don't offer that much of a opportunity. I would recommend you to go for the other university entrances and complete your MSc and then you can apply (after MSc or during MSc as the GATE score is valid for 2 years) through GATE for PhD and other studies.

Dear applicant since you are in the 2nd year B.Sc Home Science student as per the eligibility of the GATE Examination in the upcoming year when GATE will be conducted if you are in the Third Year then you can appear in the exam without any difficulties. Or even after completion of your degree then also you have the chance to appear in the GATE Examination. So in 2023 if you are a final year or 3rd year student you can easily appear in the exam.
