See if you have passed your class 12th in 2021 then only you can re-appear for jee-nains an jee-advance 2022 otherwise not.

Very firstly you have to appear for JEE-Main, qualifying which you will be appearing for JEE-Advance so to appear in JEE-Main you need to satisfy the following eligibility criterion :-

1--- Age criteria :- There is no age limit to appear in JEE-Main but note that there might be the age limit in any particular institution taking admission through JEE-Main score, so you should keep this thing in mind.

2--- Qualifying     Examination :- To be eligible for JEE-Main one should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics as mandatory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject from any of the recognized central or state board.

3--- Year of qualification :- For JEE-Main 2022 only those candidates who have passed Class 12 / equivalent examination in 2020, 2021 or 2022; or those who will be appearing in Class 12th / equivalent examination in 2022, would be eligible to appear.

So if you follow all above criterion then you are definitely eligible for JEE-Main.

Dear aspirant hope you are doing well..

yes, 1st year ug graduate students can attend jee mains if  s/he fulfill the eligibility criteria of jee mains exam. Jee mains exam give 3 consecutive chances for a science student for 3 years to  attend jee mains.

Many student take 1 year drop or 2 year drop. But many student takes partial drop. Just you said .. They get ensure their admission and prepare for jee mains, if they succeed then they left the old one and join the better college next year.

Eligibility criteria for jee mains.

• Students should have passed the 12th class or qualifying the exam in 2020 or 2021.
• Candidates appearing in 12th class or equivalent qualifying exams in 2022 can also apply.
