Can a non science student join bsc nutrition course?
Hello Aspirant
Bachelors in Nutrition and Dietetics is a 3-year long full-time undergraduate course. It comprises of 6 semesters. The themes covered in this degree are – food management, promotion of health through healthy food and the relation between body and food. The course costs around 3 to 5 lacs which is not very expensive compared to other degrees falling under the medical domain.
The main criteria of eligibility is to have passed 10th and 12th grade from a recognized educational board with the subjects – Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
It is highly unlikely that one is preferred in such a degree without a medical background.A non-science student might get admission in other colleges (at a local level) but it is difficult to get admission in Delhi University as the competition is already very tough.
Best of Luck!
The eligibility criteria for pursuing B.Sc. in Nutrition and Dietetics is a X and XII qualification from a recognized educational Board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as the main subjects at the intermediate level, with a minimum aggregate score of 50%.
I hope this helps.
