There are no specific eligibility criteria for SAT 2017. Since SAT is taken for admission in colleges, students are advised to take the test when they are in junior or senior high school. There is no specific score or time to take SAT , one can take the test irrespective of any particular SAT test eligibility criteria. In the US, students take the exam in their junior or senior years of high school (grades 11th or 12th). This means SAT candidates are roughly 17 and 18 years old, however, there is no age limit or other SAT test eligibility requirement .

Students are usually in high school at the age of 17 or 18. Hence, it is advisable for candidates to sit for the test when they are in their senior high school. According to SAT test eligibility 2017, the SAT 2017 Test is held for admission into college. Therefore, clearing high school is the right age to sit for the exam.

SAT is held for admission into colleges in the US. It is held six times a year internationally so that students who wish to pursue their undergraduate course in the US can sit for it. College Board- the conducting body of SAT, has ensured that the test is held in registered SAT Test Centres across the globe.

SAT is of two types namely, SAT Reasoning test and SAT Subject test. Aspirants can sit for the test in October, November, December, January, March, May and June. In March, the test is available only in the US.  SAT assesses how well the test takers analyse and solve problems. It tests whether a student has absorbed skills strong enough for use in college. A candidate may begin with SAT Registration for the test as per his/her convenience after fulfilling the SAT test eligibility 2017.

SAT is a standardised test taken for college level admissions in the United States and some other countries like Canada or Singapore. It is an internationally recognised test that evaluates a candidate’s knowledge in reading, writing and quantitative aptitude and also other specialised subjects. The SAT Test Patterns for SAT Reasoning Test and SAT Subjects Test follow different formats to evaluate a candidate’s knowledge. Also, the SAT Test Syllabus has been set keeping in mind the requirements of the two formats. It is advisable for the candidates to follow the SAT sample papers to ensure a good score. SAT Test scores are reported on a scale from 400-1600. Students are given a SAT score on a scale ranging from 200 to 800 for Evidence-Based Reading and Writing; 200 to 800 for Math; 2 to 8 on each of three traits for Essay which is reported separately.
